The legendary hero Hercules and his wife Megara are back, ready to embark on their next adventure! The Gods are outraged at their defeat and have summoned a fearsome beast who can match Hercules’s god-like strength.

This is the best of the series so far! A few different gameplay elements have been added, the screens aren’t cluttered with needless buillshit and best of all, there is kind of a story this time that integrates with the gameplay, instead of just being exposition cut scenes.

This is the most fun I’ve had with any of the games I’ve played so far in the 12 Labours of Hercules series. It’s reminiscent of the original, yet improving on several elements. At its core, it’s still basically the same game, but this one is filled with energy, it seemed like this was the first sequel that the developers cared about!

It’s the same art style, same gameplay loop, minus the boss battles of some of the previous entries, which is honestly a shame. Besides the lack of boss battles, this is still a fun little game with a basic premise that is good enough to sink a few hours into when you don’t want to dedicate yourself to a more story-driven game.

Would I play this again? Absolutely, I went over the 1 hour mark already, I’ve stopped myself because I own one more sequel in this series and I want to see if it improves even more, if not, this will be my new go-to for a chilled gaming session.
