100% Orange Juice is a digital multiplayer board game populated by developer Orange Juice’s all-star cast. Characters from Flying Red Barrel, QP Shooting, Suguri and Sora come together with all-new characters to duke it out… with dice.

This is a super cutesy anime game, lot’s of high pitched voices, images of anime girls, and all the bright colours any weeb would ever want!

The music and the voice became infuriating within the first 10 minutes of playing, a constant repeat of the same, or at least very similar songs with the same 6 voice lines for a super kawaii announcer to scream at you every 10 seconds. On top of this, the game is not intuitive at all, in fact it was only after I had played for an hour that I realised I wasn’t playing the story mode, I was playing a level select.

Needless to say, I judged this game heavily before heading into it and even 20 minutes in I wasn’t enjoying myself. But then once you figure out the goal, it becomes fun for a short burst. The first game I played lasted 30 minutes, and the second one a little over 20 minutes, by the second game I was finished with 100% Orange Juice, but I persevered because it just isn’t a bad game at all. It is however a game that would be a million times better playing with friends, as a more dubious alternative to Mario Party in the very basic of ways.

There’s a very simple card and dice mechanic, but the cards themselves all have different abilities allowing you to fuck with other people, which when playing against friends, I can see as being hilarious.

Don’t be like me, playing this game on your own is a chore, find some friends, grab some drinks, and curse each other out for bullshit trap cards, or form a team and curse the shit RNG.
